rockfangd Posted January 13, 2008 Report Posted January 13, 2008 hi everyone my 94 cutlass has a power driver seat but i was doing research and was told there was a rare option for memory seat. Is this even heard of. Quote
GP1138 Posted January 13, 2008 Report Posted January 13, 2008 I've never heard of a first gen W with memory seats. Where did you hear this tidbit? Quote
ManicMechanic Posted January 13, 2008 Report Posted January 13, 2008 Me neither...Not in the option books. Quote
rockfangd Posted January 14, 2008 Author Report Posted January 14, 2008 mitchell on demand. I figured that because dont they go through the BCM. Quote
ManicMechanic Posted January 14, 2008 Report Posted January 14, 2008 Cadillac, Buick, Olds and Pontiac has offered it for years, but only on big body cars. Quote
GP1138 Posted January 14, 2008 Report Posted January 14, 2008 Actually, a lot of W's have memory seats. It's when they're primarily driven by a fat guy, and then you buy them and the seat has the memory of the fat guy's ass forever. Quote
rockfangd Posted January 14, 2008 Author Report Posted January 14, 2008 Yeah FAS i have had a few like that. My beretta was like that. anyone know how i would go about adding the feature to my cutty Quote

rockfangd Posted January 14, 2008 Author Report Posted January 14, 2008 my caddy has them also and that is why i thought it would be a great thing to have Quote
GP1138 Posted January 14, 2008 Report Posted January 14, 2008 my caddy has them also and that is why i thought it would be a great thing to have Well, (obviously) I have no useful ideas... but if you got it to work without a BCM (which I'd imagine would be something you'd need) I want to be first to know! slick Posted January 14, 2008 Report Posted January 14, 2008 My Acura had them. No BCM in that car. Quote

ManicMechanic Posted January 14, 2008 Report Posted January 14, 2008 I'd put it in my CS but no one else drives my car so it would be useless. I might put a power passenger bucket seat track from a 1995-96 Regal in though. Quote
rockfangd Posted January 14, 2008 Author Report Posted January 14, 2008 well see now that i have my caddy very few of my clients use my cutlass when i am doing work on heir vehicle and everyone messes with the seat which is really hard to get it back where i like it Quote
Pontiac6KSTEAWD Posted January 14, 2008 Report Posted January 14, 2008 Cadillac, Buick, Olds and Pontiac has offered it for years, but only on big body cars. not entirely true. My STE AWD has them, my allante also had them. Quote
rockfangd Posted January 15, 2008 Author Report Posted January 15, 2008 so nobody has evre done this one yet? I still really want digital climate control damn it Quote
GnatGoSplat Posted January 15, 2008 Report Posted January 15, 2008 Many cars have a standalone memory seat module. It would be difficult to do because our seat track has no position sensors. You could possibly transplant a seat track out of a different car, but I don't know which could be transplanted with minimal work. Quote
