Lower front but not rear?

Who here has lowered the front of their W, but not the rear? In my sig I say I have Intrax springs, but really their just sitting at home waiting to be installed. My rear is much lower than my front, partly due to the fact that it naturally sits that way... and the fact that I have subs back there.

Putting Intrax springs on the front and leaving the rear will probably LOOK fine, but how would it FEEL?

Are your rear struts blown? Do you have the FE1 or FE3 suspension? The spring rate on the FE3 is more stiff, which could mean why your car sits higher at the front. I think if you lower it will your intrax it will be alright.

Rear struts/mounts/etc are new. I think I have FE3... whatever came stock on on my car. I believe I have the larger front swaybar so would that make me FE3?

My old Z34 was just lowered in the front, gave it one helluva mean stance, but lots of wheel gap in the rear end. I will say that the front end, going over bumps and what not, seemed a bit harsh, which could be accounted for the front end being lowered, shifting the balance of the weight a bit.

I think that would make you FE3, could just check your RPO code to be sure.

I have just the front of my Z34 (FE3) lowered right now. Before the front sat a lot higher than the rear now I think the front sits barely lower and it looks a lot better. As far as handling goes I definitely saw an improvement but I did a lot of stuff all at once. I have KYB GR2s all around, GMPP rear trailing arms, and rear STB. I still would like to get the Addco rear sway bar because its still under steers more than I'd like. Of course a replacement mono leaf or COs will be better, but I think as long as you do some stuff to stiffen up the rear a bit, lowering just the front is fine and is def better than stock anyway. If you look at my site in my sig, the pics where I have the bra on my car are lowered so you can see how it sits.
