Sweet!!!!

Now I know you prolly posted it, but where did you order the calipers and rotors from???

Posted

Actually I was thinking about selling kits to those that wanted to buy them. I was thinking along the lines of $650 shipped for everything. That would include calipers, lines, pads, rotors, brackets, shipping, bolts, instructions, powdercaoting, ect. Would that be of interest to anyone?

Posted

i'm excited and i think 650 would be a decent price if it's all good, but i have to sell mine.

OK,ok sounds good. I hope the rest of the people on list would chime in. For crying out loud these are 13" brakes

If I had the money, I'd be in for a full kit. Until then I'm just in for the brackets. I'll try to piece the rest together as I get the $$$.

here you go, calipers just came in, cant wait for the rotors, another 20 min or so. These fuckin calipers are HUGGGE.

I dont care if you just want the brackets or just the kits, just wanted to know where everyone was, lol. I am putting them on this weekend, and desiging the bracket. Then I will order the material and get it waterjetted. Then get the threads tapped, and of course powder is final.

Just did some research, these new brakes are bigger than the factory brakes on the new corvette.

If you plan on doing this for a little while i may be interested. I have to get some other things fixed first but these are a definate possibility.

If you can get it all to work, I'm in. I got burned after I bought 2nd gen 12" brakes and they didn't fit (neither the rotor nor the caliper fit).

I know the caliper will not fit, but the rotor should slide right on. It has the same bolt pattern. Now I am just worried about the clearance, but I am almost positive it will fit. Well see this weekend.

the new vette's brakes are 13.4 in the front, and 13 in the rear....so yours technically aren't bigger. They're the SAME.

Humm, just looked at advance auto parts and the brakes are 12.7 for the vette. Maybe the zo6 has 14" brakes.

OMG i just read 14 pages :willynilly: !!! anyways to compare the brakes on a W-body to that on a vette is a feet in itself :high5:. If you make a couple extra sets in a couple months i might look to get a set in the future here. not to sound stupid but you will deffinatly have to have aftermarket rims correct? i think it was said but that was forever ago and i don't feel like reading back into it.

Yeah, I was looking at 06,lol. You might not need new wheels, you might be able to just put spacers on your stcok wheels. I have no idea, i will know more this weekend.
