Gas Pedal

Today on my way home from work I started experiencing problems with the gas pedal...it seems like now it will only go down about 1/4 way to the floor, it still accelorates just fine but if I'm on the freeway and need to shoot around some slow soccer mom in the way It's hard to get the pedal down to get the required power I'm seeking. It only goes down to the floor if I really put my foot down on it. Anyone knows what this could be?

Check all your throttle linkages at the TB, see if one is gunked up or something. Heres a question, if you push the pedal down, does the motor feel like its not responding to the change in Throttle % or is it just a stiff pedal??

Sounds like a cable problem. Try disconnecting all cables and check to see if tb moves properly then check the gas pedal and see. It may be one of the other two cables causing the problem also, but that's where I'd start.

I've had to oil the throttle body linkages before when the pedal got real stiff.

Also, once I noticed the pedal being real hard to push down and noticed the floormat got wadded under the pedal!

I just had my trottle body flushed with my fuel injectors. I'll checked my linkage. Thanks

Ever find out what was the problem
