BRAKE light

What all is this dummy light indicating? It never came on until I hit a deer a few years ago.. the car sat in a garage for a year (driven a few miles every few months). Now it comes on sporadically. The ABS light is on all the time, but IIRC, I pulled the fuse years ago because I don't like ABS.

The fluid level is where it should be, it isn't leaking anywhere. The parking brake isn't on. The brakes work perfectly fine whether the light is on or not. I've been ignoring it.. I figure its just an electrical gremlin from it sitting so long... but I suppose I should find out for sure before/if they fail and I eat someones back bumper. Where is it pulling the problem from?

there should be a sensor on the parking brake assembly. I assume its not catching that the brake pedal is up all the way?

I thought that, yeah the pedal is all the way up. I thought something else in that assembly might be catching?

Would it cause a sporadic thing? I'm thinking it has to be a sensor, somewhere? I don't know where all that one pulls from.. I should just unplug all of them.

I can live with the light, I'll have the car until it dies with all the money I have stuck into it. I can't see it being anything serious, but who knows. The car might be smarter than I am.
