White93z34
Presently I am running a "Perfection" clutch. Overall I am not pleased with it, it slips entirely too easy. However it does include a new TO bearing and pressure plate which is nice. Next clutch will probably be a more expensive performance one of some sort. It took me all of 30 minutes to install my clutch, however the engine and trans were out of the car when I did it. It is no small task to do clutch service on these cars, I don't know the exact procedure, but I believe it involves dropping the subframe out of the car and using a engine support to hold it all in there. defiantly a all day project. 19Cutlass94
I think pulling the motor would be easier than dropping the subframe.
TURBOLUMINA
I ran an advance auto parts clutch and had good luck. I ran a whole summer on a 100 shot of juice before i went boosted, and had no problems. it ran about $180 if i remember correctly. And i have done several clutches in these cars, the easiest way is to take out driver side strut, and subframe bolts while rest of car is on jack stands. lower driver side of subframe down with jack, and trans will come out through the driver side. took me 2 hours start to finish. If you want further details, feel free to email me and i will walk you through it. jason-staples@hotmail.com

I ran the same clutch in my getrag 284 TGP. It wouldn't slip on the first WOT run, but if I did two back to back it would start to slip. It was my understanding that the stock 284 clutch was rated at 300 ft lbs of torque, which was probably about what my TGP was making.
