AWeb80 Posted December 21, 2007 Report Posted December 21, 2007 I took it to work and milled the ribs and numbers smooth as you can see... I'm contemplating Powdercoating it white to match my engine bay and polish the ridges after that.....or should I leave it stock aluminum and still polish them shinier? here is the plenum I have on there now.....what color should I pc it?....gloss black, white, stock....what? Euro Posted December 21, 2007 Report Posted December 21, 2007 I'd keep it white and polish the ribs and lettering on there. Then do your valve covers white too! Quote
slick Posted December 21, 2007 Report Posted December 21, 2007 Meh... I don't like the white. Why not hit it with some sandpaper and just polish up the entire plenum? Quote

Psych0matt Posted December 21, 2007 Report Posted December 21, 2007 I say black, and polish the ridges Quote
runt Posted December 21, 2007 Report Posted December 21, 2007 Could you media blast some of the stuff off of it before sanding? Quote
IRONDOG442 Posted December 21, 2007 Report Posted December 21, 2007 Make it appear like a 3800 Series II engine cover !!! Quote

White94GP Posted December 21, 2007 Report Posted December 21, 2007 i say try it gloss black with white for the lettering and lines white gets too dirty too fast Quote
AWeb80 Posted December 21, 2007 Author Report Posted December 21, 2007 I Think I'll In With Gloss Black And Polished Ribs And Letters Quote
timdjohn Posted December 22, 2007 Report Posted December 22, 2007 I would paint it black mill the ribs back down, and have the center of it red. Quote
19Cutlass94 Posted December 22, 2007 Report Posted December 22, 2007 If your going to get it powdercoated, take it from me, these cast aluminum parts dont come out perfect without ALOT of work. I would have it black with either highlighted or milled ribs and lettering Quote
slick Posted December 22, 2007 Report Posted December 22, 2007 It Is Way Too Rough To Do That Chris. It Would Take Days. And The UpKeep Would Suck. Weak! It doesn't take too long. A quick search yielded me nothing, but the Beretta guy's do it all the time! It looks awesome, and doesn't take long. Remember, these intakes are cast aluminum, they sand easy as hell! Quote
J Posted December 23, 2007 Report Posted December 23, 2007 white pieces in the engine bay=yuck (my opinion) I think you should send a spare out for powder coat and get it done in the "black chrome" Quote
AWeb80 Posted December 23, 2007 Author Report Posted December 23, 2007 That Is My Spare. I Used My Brand New Dremal last might to do some home posting. i dunno if we do black chrome, but i can get gloss black for free Quote
Chancho Posted December 23, 2007 Report Posted December 23, 2007 gloss black with polished lettering.... hawttt Quote
