AWeb80
I've got an extra 3100 plenum that i'm gonna polish the ribs on and then PC white to match my engine bay..... while i'm switching plenums, i'm wanting to port and polish my throttle body.....and maybe the plenum neck. Anyone have any pointers on how to port and polish the stuff? I've also heard of knife edging the butterfly and the edges of the TB...and more input on that? It's cold out side and i'm bored.... gp90se
that knife edging the blade is a waste of time IMO. Your car (3x00 in general) don't need every last molecule of air possible to flow optimal at higher RPM. There is more of a risk of opening up the flow to much causing idling issues. I've use a dremel with a carbide bit to port the TB and a wire brush at high rpm to give it that bling bling shine. the best way to do it is hit it with sand paper going from 100 grit to 400 grit then 1000 grit. 19Cutlass94
I really dont think it matters. The TB opening is till 52mm. Unless you have a 3400 TB ( 56mm TB plate ) you really wont be flowing much more air.
Miko K
Just block off the rear mani, cut up the crossover and throw a dogdamn turbo on it. Quit screwing 'round...
