The Burning Rom Posted July 16, 2003 Report Posted July 16, 2003 Does anyone know if there is a competition transmission pan for the 4T60/4T60E? Quote
Redfox340 Posted July 23, 2003 Report Posted July 23, 2003 For more volume and fluid? Or stronger for a hill / WRC race? - Erik Quote

phantomFE3 Posted July 23, 2003 Report Posted July 23, 2003 cant be that hard, depends on what your lookin for like erik said, want it to be more solid, or have more capacity, just give some prototype drawings to my dad to put into the CNC machine at work, see what happens Quote
Sailor77 Posted July 23, 2003 Report Posted July 23, 2003 PhantomFE3: I wish I had a machine shop here that i knew, I would have so much stuff made. But seriously if he wants to make some money, how bout some door handles for 70's Riverias. They are made of pot metal and break all the time. He could make a mold and sell them for a pretty penny. Those guys have to replace thiers every few yrs at $100+ a pop. What you think? Quote
phantomFE3 Posted July 23, 2003 Report Posted July 23, 2003 i dont think i have ever seen a 70's riviera driving around town, sorry! maybe i could make a mold for door handles for OUR cars? i know mine has broken off before, i could make them pretty sturdy, but ill look into the 70's riviera, im not sure any of the junkyards would have them here for me to take a handle off to make a prototype!! dbtk2 Posted July 24, 2003 Report Posted July 24, 2003 Does anyone know if there is a competition transmission pan for the 4T60/4T60E? You mean like the one for the 4t65e with the cooling tubes on the bottom and the drain plug in it, or one with higher capacity? Neither are available that I know of, but I am wondering, because I think it would be pretty easy to produce them. Quote
H.P.Productions Posted July 24, 2003 Report Posted July 24, 2003 you could do door handles for the 70"s Cutlass's too. I got a 73 cutlass coupe I'm tryna finde parts for... all of the door internals are pot metal so when it gets could they snap. last winter i broke 2 door handles, 2 window regulaters, and 2window cranks handles........and the only part you can just run down to the parts store and buy is the window crank handle......
