Are all brake calipers the same? (94+)

I want to sand mine down and powder coat them. They are just the cheapies from autozone, I plan on rebuilding them with better parts but are there different caliper designs? Maybe ones that look better or are they all generally the same?

Generally all the same. At least I've never seen one that looked better than another surface finish wise.
