kchare2
I've got a 2001 Grand Prix GT w/ the 3800 V6. At 34k miles I took it in because I was having a tranny problem at high speeds (at 50mph + when I would put my foot down to pass it would shift down, rev up, shift up, give power - sometimes took as much as 3+ seconds to get power). They repaired (not replaced) the tranny under warranty. Now, at 41k (read: out of warranty), I've got the same problem plus another. Starting from rest or coming out of a corner if I give it some gas it sounds like the gears are grinding when the car shifts (~5000 - 5500 rpm). It's kinda like when you're driving a manual and you grind the gears on a bad shift. Has anyone else had this type of problem? I'm having to put up a heck of a fight to get the repairs covered under the warranty (since it's the same thing they've already fixed), and I'd like to have some support on this. Thanks!! lukee1982
You won't get many replys on this forum because of the age of your vehicle. I would suggest http://www.clubgp.com since your from mi. http://www.migpc.com http://www.efi-street.com may have some insight There may be a few guys here to help you but your odds of getting the correct answer are better on a few of these sites
