matt1987 Posted December 10, 2007 Report Posted December 10, 2007 Problem 1: I'm having some heater troubles with my 00 GP. I noticed while driving my car today that my heater blower would only blow on high. So my first thought is the switch must be bad. Well I get home and shut the car off and the heater is still blowing. Keys out of the ignition and everything. So I ended up pulling the high blower fuse out and luckily the blower finally shut off. Now I only have the 2,3 and 4 blower speeds. and of course I have to have this problem during the winter. Anyways, has anybody had this problem before or seen it?? Now onto issue 2: You guys with 2nd gen 3800 w bodys, what temp does your car run at?? I ask because I have noticed the heat in my car is warm, but it doesn't burn your face off like my past w bodys. My car runs a touch below the quarter mark on the temp gauge. Is this a typical temp? I'm thinking maybe the thermo is stuck open, not letting the car warm up. My old 95' GP ran between the quarter and half mark on the gauge and had an awesome heater. Any ideas... Quote
Chancho Posted December 10, 2007 Report Posted December 10, 2007 as far as the temp is concerned, on a cold day when the car isnt idiling thats where it should stay at, the car will never achieve the half mark unless its being hotroded Quote
rockfangd Posted December 10, 2007 Report Posted December 10, 2007 The heater issue is probably a bad ignition switch, or BCM (body control module) Quote
