Chancho
anyone got anything, or am i a rare commodity on here, wanting to do performance parts on a 1.5 gen lumina lol
AWeb80
You Don't Need To Drill The Body. The Bar Will Fit Right Over The Rear Strut Studs. you will need to enlarge the holes on the bar a tad though. takes about 15 mins to put in if your slow. And Use The Stock Nuts Too. I Did My Brothers 2K Gp.
Euro
really? I heard you need to drill for the GMPP bars to work on the front and rear. That's why everybody bought DonRome's stb brackets.
AWeb80
My Brothers GMSTB Fit Perfect In His 2K Without Drilling Anything. Fits Right Over The Stock Strut Bolts
runt
I also have mine installed over the rear strut tower bolts. I elongated two of the holes and bolted it in. I really only have it held on by two bolts, but it works pretty good, IMO. There was no way in hell I was dropping the rear suspension for a $20 bar.... '01 GP for those too lazy to read my sig. Chancho
Which of the 3 bolts, the ones in the front are too far away, and the ones in the rear are too close togather, and it cant go on the other side of the strut mount, does any one have pictures? Andrew
I really only have it held on by two bolts, but it works pretty good, IMO. AHA. i was wondering how that worked! That's why everybody bought DonRome's stb brackets. Do you know if he is still making them? I would like em.
runt
I can't say for sure how it would bolt into your car. I know I just lined up what bolts worked on either side, made the slots longer and slapped it down. You'll pretty much just have to look and see if it works. Otherwise, I'd find someone with a machine shop to make something up for you. And what is the Don Rome stb bracket you speak of?
Andrew
And what is the Don Rome stb bracket you speak of? Don Rome is a member over on ClubGP, and im assuming he was making brackets like the one ZZP has for the front.
Chancho
zzp makes a bracket for this, i havent seen it, and besides i dont really like em, but if they got what i need i cant complain
Andrew
no. what ZZP makes is only for the front. it WILL NOT work for the rear.
Chancho
Then im still lost as to how to get the rear mounted, i noe a few 2nd gen gp guys on here have em in, the gp's rear end is the same as the luminas, so then therefore my rstb should mount the same but i just dont see where it needs or how it needs to go
Euro
Our strut towers might be different since the cars are different, but I'm not sure. Try this guy for rear brackets. He does them for GP's, and a lot of people have them. http://drcustomparts.com/Prices.htm

AWeb80
You Can't Sell Stuff On CGP? How Gay Is That Place.....So Only Zzp and intense can market their stuff?
Andrew
WTF!?! they banned him? (no wonder his posts stopped in sept) he should come here!
Euro
Yeah, apparently Mike gets pissed if you try to sell your products without giving him money to advertise/sell on the site. ZZP and Intense don't really market their own things on the site, or at least none that I've seen. They just banned Farnsworth last week(GR8RacingFool) because he made reference to his chrome plated valve cover bolts that he does to someone.
