Robby1870 Posted July 15, 2003 Report Share Posted July 15, 2003 the 3.1L and the 2.8L are the same motor, only difference is the 3.1L is a stroked 2.8. So, their TB size is 52mm in diameter. There are performance ones made that are 62mm at http://www.fdpperformance.com However, if this is going to be your first mod, you are going to see much from it. And, you would need to port-match your plenum to meet the TB right. A bigger TB is something you would need after some porting and polishing has been done to the heads and intakes, free-flowing exhaust, some kinda intake, some internals and forced induction would be well complemented by this mod.
