DEMonte1997 Posted November 23, 2007 Report Posted November 23, 2007 I was replacing the burntout bulbs from the cluster in my 92 GS today. The bulbs wouldn't come out of the sockets not matter how hard I tried so I had to pry them out with a really small screwdriver. Put new 194s back in the sockets, reinstalled... nothing. Swapped a good bulb and socket into that spot and nothing. THEN, put that bulb/socket back into the spot where it worked, nothing. WTF???? Did I toast the cluster in those spots or something? I saw that they go for relatively cheap on ebay so I guess it's not awful but I'd rather not go that route, if possible. I ordered some new bulbs from the dealer today. They should be in tomorrow. Hopefully that will fix this but something tells me it won't. Anyone have experience with this kind of thing? Quote
ManicMechanic Posted November 23, 2007 Report Posted November 23, 2007 The bulbs are soldered into the sockets... Quote
DEMonte1997 Posted November 23, 2007 Author Report Posted November 23, 2007 LOL That would explain why I couldn't get them out. I read in a few places here that they weren't, otherwise I wouldn't have tried that. Oh well. Hope the new sockets I have ordered work. Will find out tomorrow. Thanks for the info. Quote

Psych0matt Posted November 24, 2007 Report Posted November 24, 2007 don't feel bad, at least you aren't making lame excuses and blaming everyone! It's a bit annoying, but you're a nice guy otherwise Quote
