dohc v6
As I am sure 99% of u all know that I have 3.4 turbo. Well when rebuilding the motor we torqued the oil pan down and it was all nice and ever. Well it leaks, lol. Just like everything else I do it right and what do ya know it leaks. Well my brother has the sam problem and he had his oil pan gasket replaced and it still does it. Is there a trick to getting it to not leak. And yes we boight the gm sealent for the corners of the crank mains.
Chancho
just put it on right, i believe there is a recomended way to torque down the bolts, like on the pushrod intake manifold, if you do the wrong side first it destroys the seal that the gasket makes... ie replace the lim gasket again
BXX
Is your PCV system working correct??? I have seen it many times when people build their cars, and then the oil pan gasket leaks since it builds up too much crankcase pressure... dohc v6
Probably not, I need to put a catch can in the system. I still have to replace the pan gasket now though. I tightend it and its probably all fucked up. I will have to replace the gasket and put a catch can in and hopefully it will fix it, but well see. dohc v6
haha, went to go put in the catch can, the PCV is melted, could this cause a problem.
ManicMechanic
Is that a rhetorical question?
