In order for a DIS to function...

I would just need to connect the always hot; hot in run; and ground wires......correct?

 

Just trying to figure out if the DIS in my hand is junk.

Yeah, just power them up.

 

Just remember though, they may power up, but it's not necessarily gonna tell you if the functions are working properly.

just connect it to the battery and stick your tongue to number one and you'll kno wassup...... :bonk: lol jk, but yea you should just be able to hook it up an see whether or not it activates

just outta curiosity, would a DIS hook up to a 98 lumina?

 

it would hook up, but it wouldnt work.

Even if one from, say, a 96+ 3100 GP was used?

 

an OBD II one should work with it i suppose
