I Know This has been discussed before. my dog bone bushings are fine. so when i'm on the brake, and i go from drive to reverse, i've got a noticeable clunk somewhere underneath. i know it's not the tranny engaging. what is causing it?

I replaced mine when i was replacing the timing cover gasket and the i was replacing the oil pan gasket. so the motor was pulled and the subframe was lowered.

For what its worth, I JUST replaced my lower motor mount and I still have the clunk. I didn't replace the lower transmission mount though

I'd be keeping a close eye on your subframe mounts.

I've thought about it. When I was under my car though, the bushings looked fairly new. And the bolts werent rusty at all... /end hijack
