Bake82
Hey guys, As everyone knows I just put in the 3.1 turbo motor. I used a 91 gm crate motor. Obviously it was built as a NA version. Anyways I used the oil pump that came on the motor. As of now I'm seeing 4 bars of oil pressure on my UB3 cluster. The sensor is good, I'm just wondering if you think I will be ok with using the NA oil pump. I do believe TGP's used a Melling high flow pump. I'm thinking they obviously did this for a reason. I am bringing this up because I am ALSO throwing a Code 43(knock Sensor) I can't hear a knock, but that might be do to the exhaust leak I have and it's drowning it out. I'm thinking I should be replacing the oil pump NOW with a high flow one(sucks as I had the oil pan of and would have been SOO easy to change out), but it is what it is......Any opinions? Thanks I would drop the subframe, which I'd to NOW before having it aligned....
ns87
The knock sensor thing I have right now too. There deffinately is no knock, but the wiring to the sensor is very brittle. I think I unplugged the connector while changing my motor mounts. I'm going out today to check on it and I'll let you know
