Addicted to eaton
Brake rubbing is my guess
White93z34
spacers up front??? when i ran them they tended to rub the one side of my wheel well a little bit but i ran them for a long time like that, spacers would make them look flat out silly. GutlessSupreme
x2^ you don't need spacers, and it would look retarded with them. People have had different results, some say no rub, others say some rub but only at full lock. don't worry about that. you definitely shouldn't need spacers. greencutlassdrvr
thats what i thought but the inside of the wheel is rubbin up against the caliper bracket
ManicMechanic
Did you get 1st gen GP X-laces, 2nd gen X-laces or Bonneville X-laces?
greencutlassdrvr
i ordered them at work for an 89 tgp do u think thats what it is?
ManicMechanic
They should be 16x8 1st gen GP then. There shouldn't be a reason for them to rub. I believe there's someone here with a 1996 or 1997 CS with GP X-laces, hopefully he will come up with something.

GutlessSupreme
I have the newer brakes on all 4 corners of my STE and there are no clearance problems to speak of. I don't think Bonneville crosslaces fit (different bolt pattern?) and the 2nd gen crosslaces I think are only those nasty wavy ones, not the straight ones like I have. they are 16x8" right? ManicMechanic
Bonnies have the same BP as Ws. But different backspacing and width, as I recall.
GP1138
Bonnies have the same BP as Ws. But different backspacing and width, as I recall. Ken said this too. I saw a perfect set of crosslace wheels on a Bonne in a yard, but they didn't look like the W-Body xlaces.
Pontiac6KSTEAWD
Bonnie cross laces will bolt up, but well drag and grind on the calipers something mad. Drive it with them like that for about 20 miles, no more rubbing. I found this out the hard way, I bought a pair of them, thinking they were the TGP style, and then let the wife drive it home. We get home and she tells me about this horrid noise coming from the back end, but it went away half way home.. Luckily the rim metal is alot softer than the caliper metal.
