Olds W31
Has anyone installed or had this installed in the 4t60e? If someone has the instructions, I would very much like to see what was involved. If it would be possible to scan or email the file, let me know. Thanks,
ns87
I never heard of that one specifically, but I do know all you need to do is take off the pan, remove the acclimator, and install some washers. This is a different trans but I think it covers the main idea: http://www.w-body.com/forum/index.php/topic,63152.msg761470.html#msg761470
Olds W31
The Transgo SK's are used normally during a rebuild, to correct basic issues known about the transmission, but they have lots of useful info. I have read and will perform the "shift kit" mod. I wanted to address the 3-4 shift as well, and I wasn't sure where the accumulator was for that or if anyone had modded the 4t60 that way. Andrew
there isnt an accumulator for the 3-4 shift. only the 1-2, and 2-3. and remember: The accumulators have nothing to do with line pressure during shifts, they just absorb the initial pressure burst to make smoother shifts

Olds W31
Anybody got a pic of the valve body and which accum it is? If I knew which one it was, I might work out a bypass/firming up option when I do the trans service.
Brian P
It's one accumulator in the valve body, and it's not easy to get to. On many cars, the transmission has to be outright removed. I don't have any diagrams or photos but I did get to it while rebuilding my trans.
