Transgo SK Kit

Olds W31

Recommended Posts

Has anyone installed or had this installed in the 4t60e? If someone has the instructions, I would very much like to see what was involved. If it would be possible to scan or email the file, let me know.

Thanks,

The Transgo SK's are used normally during a rebuild, to correct basic issues known about the transmission, but they have lots of useful info.

I have read and will perform the "shift kit" mod. I wanted to address the 3-4 shift as well, and I wasn't sure where the accumulator was for that or if anyone had modded the 4t60 that way.

Thanks,

there isnt an accumulator for the 3-4 shift. only the 1-2, and 2-3.

and remember:

The accumulators have nothing to do with line pressure during shifts, they just absorb the initial pressure burst to make smoother shifts

There is, just in the valve body.

It's one accumulator in the valve body, and it's not easy to get to. On many cars, the transmission has to be outright removed. I don't have any diagrams or photos but I did get to it while rebuilding my trans.
