Crankshaft sensor

I have a 94 Grand Prix w 3100 and i wanted to know where the sensor is or do we have two sensors one on the block and one behind the balancer. Any help on the subject wold be appreciated.

you only have one, on the back side of the block, (if your looking at the motor) near the bottom. Its a circle looking thing with one, maybe two wires coming from it. Oh, and the crank pulley is not a balancer, the crankshaft is internally balanced, so the crank pulley is dampener

Well, its fairly hard to get to, small hands and nimble fingers are a must, but, if you can get to it, not too terribly long, theres not that much work involved. Do you think yours is going/gone bad??

I am almost positive that in 93 when they switched to the 3100 the CPS was moved to a flying magnet on the front/dampener. Maybe wrong though, it happens.
