mfewtrail
For Cutties, sure. I posted this before once or twice in mileage related threads. That article was from 2002-2003 or so. I'd have to find the magazine it was in to say for sure though.
Andrew
Editors note: The mileage covered by the vehicle in this story is extraordinary and may not be typical of all Pontiacs. whatever, pontiacs run forevar!! LOL cool finds guys.
White93z34
I always thought those clusters displayed ERROR after 200k?
ManicMechanic
I did too...But this one evidently didn't...
boulevard
Are you sure it's not 35,873.9 miles? Sounds like alot! Must have been a cross country rental at some point. That's alot of miles. I wonder how many hours of driving that would of been?
ManicMechanic
I believe the 10ths are in the trip odo...
White93z34
Moreover I'm surprised as hell that that terrible cluster didn't break 150,000 miles ago.

boulevard
I don't know. I don't think I ever stepped foot in a w-body cutlass before. Im huge for Luminas.
ns87
My base digital gauge didnt have an :"8" imprint for the first number. It could physically only display a
ManicMechanic
Probably some differences between 1988-91 and 1992-93 clusters.
GP1138
If you look closely to the left of the first "3" you can see the outline on the LCD of a "1". Perhaps they added the "9" at the end in Photoshop?

GP1138
I've never heard of a cluster that could go to a million miles. That's the reason I'd be skeptical.
Crazy K
I'm not familar with the basic digi cluster. who wants one? LOL I imagine that really says 35,000.0 miles. we nees someone with that cluster to answer!

GP1138
Looks like they copied the "3" and added a line to make it a "9".

Brian P
I'm gonna go out on a limb here The part of the PRNDL indicator looks like the smaller font that was used in '92-93. That cluster was available thru 1993 on the very base models. I get the feeling GM changed that odometer in '92 so it can read over 199999 miles. 3.1cutlass
I doubt it because if you look closely you can see the spacing of mine between the last 2 numbers and the spacing of the last to numbers of the original look the same. I think the dot is just burnt out.
