Easy ?s: Racks, Subframes, and Sway Bars

Dark Ride

Recommended Posts

Alright, just curious if I can use a 3100 subframe and mounts out of a 95 GP in My TGP since that subframe is shot, and the 3100 subframe looks a lot better.

Also curious about the differences between the racks.

I have a Rack from the TGP, a 90 GP SE, and a 95 GP(base model).

Did these all have the same sway bar?

Thanks,

Mitch

the subframe will work fine

keep your factory TGP rack. it is the best one that they produced for the first gens.

chances are you have a very good front swaybar on the TGP, keep that unless you can get a 34mm one.

Ratios. how may turns lock to lock for the steering wheel to travale it's full range of travel.

iIIRC:

tgps had 2.25 I think I heard B4U GPs might be the same?

sportier cars got a 2.5,

base models got 2.75 m granny car all the way!

the smalled the number the faster the rack, the more responsive etc etc

Just out of curiosity, what is a better bar- the TGP bar or a 34mm one?

Time for a new topic.... The 30mm solid bar should be better for handling IMO. The 34mm hollow bar would save some weight though. I weighed one of my 34mm bars the other day and it was ~11lbs if I'm remembering right.
