Who Installed an OEM GM sunroof??? details?

I need to know. I believe someone somewhere replaced the roof of a TGP with the roof panel from a car with a factory sunroof. I think I saw this once long long ago... in time far far before what I saw that makes my request most urgent tonight. At the time there were pictures of the hard work of cutting and welding.

links? anything? THANKS!

Wasn't it firefighter_0029 or something like that? The Regal was white with a gray stripe?

1 WOW! ...but not what I was looking for.

2 TGPs did not come with a factory OEM sunroof.

3 I checked out a TGP that had a OEM sunroof installed.

WHO DID THIS TO A TGP?

the sunroofs are installed from asc.

correct.

I speak of a TGP that does not have a ASC sunroof, it has a transplanted roof panel from a newer GP with a pre-punched roof and the OEM sunroof.

Pictures? By the way, the sunroofs in TGP's are Inalfa units, not ASC.

I thought we went over this? both my TSTE and my TGP had/have factory sunroofs, and they were both made by Inalfa, not ASC.

Where are you getting this misinformation that TGP's didn't have factory sunroofs?

the sunrof physically look the same from 1989-1993, they appear to be factory installed with the punched roof as you call it, why is this so important if i may ask

inalfa is asc, but thats besides the point

As of 2002, yes, but back when our cars were made I think they just kinda did contract work for ASC.

why do I ask?

here's why.

a hot TGP, but I still don't understand why. that's the exact sunroof my turbos had/have, stamped roof and all.

Thats exactly what the sunroof in my TGP looks like.

oh????????

I've seen over and over that the sunroofs for TGPs were add on, and that would implyh they were not OEM.

maybe that is wrong! I have the RPO codes at least.

Ken, are you getting the build dates for all the TGPs too? I'm curious to see when mine was made (my door sticker is gone)

I don't think it's possible to look that information up.

If we can find the dates of cars built near Nick's, it's possible.

I will collect that info, but I have no way to find out. you will need to report what your car cars says for it to be in the database.

Late 1989 most likely.

My 211000 car was built 8/30/1989 and matt's 217163 car was built 9/1989. So the 234XXX range like yours were probably done somewhere around September-NovemberISH if I had to take a guess. If more people could post their build dates, we could guesstimate yours to within a few days or so...
