theghoul Posted October 8, 2007 Report Posted October 8, 2007 Well, I'm getting ready to store my red beuty and I need some stuff fixed. O-ring oil leak Security Light starting issue Air conditioning issue (aint none, filled it, drains out) No rush to get these done. If someone in the Detroit, Michigan area wants to make some extra Christmas dough, I'll drop the car off with any parts you need. Crazy K's gotta vouch for ya. Quote
5speedz34 Posted October 8, 2007 Report Posted October 8, 2007 I would definitely consider this is if: A) My garage was cleaned I didn't have a car I need to fix first. Maybe, maybe in a few months if I where to ever get off my ass and get things done. Quote
93CutlassSupreme Posted October 8, 2007 Report Posted October 8, 2007 Love to, but I try to avoid fixing cars in parking lots. Quote
ManicMechanic Posted October 8, 2007 Report Posted October 8, 2007 LOL, if you wanted to bring it to me...(central Texas)...I seem to be the only 3.4 mechanic around. Quote
Crazy K Posted October 9, 2007 Report Posted October 9, 2007 maybe next time I am in detroit I could help you out! Quote
White93z34 Posted October 9, 2007 Report Posted October 9, 2007 I seem to be the only 3.4 mechanic around. I resent that remark. Quote

ManicMechanic Posted October 9, 2007 Report Posted October 9, 2007 I seem to be the only 3.4 mechanic around. I resent that remark. Yes Chris, I should have made myself clearer. 90% of the shops here told my neighbor they don't work on 3.4s. I, however, will especially on a 'vert. Quote
White93z34 Posted October 9, 2007 Report Posted October 9, 2007 ah, I see. Strange however that most imports are much more complex then the LQ1 yet it gets a bad rap. Quote
IRONDOG442 Posted October 9, 2007 Report Posted October 9, 2007 THe LX5 is more complex than the LQ1 Don't ask me though I don't know shit !!! Quote

5speedz34 Posted October 9, 2007 Report Posted October 9, 2007 What is the security starting issue? Is that something with Vats? Quote
joey b Posted October 9, 2007 Report Posted October 9, 2007 If I get some time off in the next couple of weeks I'll do it. I'll fix the dist O-ring with a replacement, tear apart the AC hoses and replace O-rings, and bypass the VATS. Just pay for my gas and some decent food. I'll have to see what kind of time off I have and I'll let you know. Quote

Yes Chris, I should have made myself clearer. 90% of the shops here told my neighbor they don't work on 3.4s. I, however, will especially on a 'vert. Any shop that doesn't work on a 3.4 dohc, doesn't need to be working on anything. Quote
