power steering line leak

ok.... i've got a leak.... sprays out nicely..... well... i dont find it nice... but if i were into leaks..... this one would get me hot...

the leak is on one of the smaller diameter lines .... 2 larger lines connect to the reservoir...

i'm assuming the larger diameter lines are low to no pressure feed and return ...... and the small lines are higher pressure lines to do the work....

well.... one of the pressured lines is leaking at the bend where it touches the firewall.....

so far its been damn hard to get out.... any suggestions as to how to get it out..... there is only one place i an get my wrench on it.... but then its already wedged against the metal wall of the passenger compartment..... so i dont know what to do..... i need an offset wrench or something.....

does anyone know what pressure these lines are at..... i'm considering using some high pressure fuel line as a temporary fix.... i need the car mobile on wednesday...

High pressure, I do believe well over 200-300psi. Get powersteering hose to replace it, but don't use it on the high pressure line since I do believe it is only good for 100psi working. The entire pressure line should run about $25-$35 at your favorite parts store. Don't try to bandaid it, you will regret it shortly down the road.

Big = high

Small = low

Rotate the engine forward to gain access

i've rotated it forward.... can get my arm in there.... but theres isnt enough room to get the wrench in ... at least not a normal wrench.....
