Low Coolent Light Flashes

so I get in and start driving, see the low coolent light flash 5 times every minute.

 

Checked the radiator and overflow tank, both are full.

 

Any ideas ?

 

3.4 L with 102K Cutlass Supreme Drop

probably the level sensor on the side tank. theyre notorious for that.

so what just add more coolent to the overflow ? Or just leave it....

 

I am assuming that the side/overflow tank has some sensor in it, which cannot measure correctly right now...

 

Am I correct ?

just leave it if its where its supposed to be.

 

its a square sensor w/ a wire clip the goes around it. plug is on the bottom. its about 3-4 inches down from the radiator cap.

im not sure how you test to make sure its just the sensor, but it probably is. i replaced the one on my 96 and it would still read low. started working correctly after a couple days, though. idk why, but they like to not work.

If its like my car, theres a level sensor on the radiator. Left side if you're facing engine bay, right side of engine bay. Right at the top too! follow the wires
