pontiac735
Hi there, been awhile since I've been active on this board since I got rid of my 90 and 91 Grand Prixs....I've had a 97 GTP since the past three years.I've found a 97 Cutlass Supreme SL....4 DR.,fully loaded,110,000 miles on it,older lady has owned it since 99,amazing shape.I'm a little leary on a possible Intake leak,I never had a problem with my older GP's so I have no experience with this issue.Other than that problem, are there any other things I should be on the look out for?I'm gonna take a look at it later on today.I want to take a good look at the paint or body, seems to be too good. Thanks for any help. supreme_style21
You're gonna go from a GTP to a CS sedan? That'll be quite the change. I'd probably just change the gaskets right away and be done with it, if it hasn't been done yet. Just check for gunk under the oil cap and see how the oil looks. Some go, some don't. I had a 95 3100 go at 95k, a 94 go at 110K. And I had a 94 @ 110k & a 97 @ 150k on it that hadn't ever been touched. They're a nice highway-cruiser car. I have a 94 right now.. had a '97 last year. I do like them. They're a good, reliable PointA-to-PointB car. Not a lot of thrills and frills, but they're good. But I'm sure going from a GTP to a NA 3100 is going to feel like a slug though.
