gp90se Posted September 21, 2007 Report Posted September 21, 2007 my lq1 (92 3.4) has a very slight miss at lower rpm, and maybe top end, but it can't be felt there. New plugs and wires in it, fuel filter, swapped out the coils/mod for known good ones and seafoamed it. there is a little hesitation off idle when cold as well. The car will stall every once in a while, but runs pretty good outside the little issue. thoughts? Is there a way to test coils? Quote
Andrew Posted September 21, 2007 Report Posted September 21, 2007 you might try cleaning your IAC and MAF. Quote
gp90se Posted September 22, 2007 Author Report Posted September 22, 2007 IAC is fairly new, and no maf also no o2 sensor, but that wouldnt cause these symtoms Quote
19Cutlass94 Posted September 22, 2007 Report Posted September 22, 2007 how are the vacuum lines on there? Quote
boulevard Posted September 22, 2007 Report Posted September 22, 2007 You can test a coilpack by removing the ignition wire from each spark plug, one at a time. Stick a screwdrive near the opening of the ignition wire if theres spark, its good. Plug the wire back to the spark plug, and continue to the next one. If you don't get a spark or it seems very weak, then you will know whats wrong with your system. Quote
gp90se Posted September 22, 2007 Author Report Posted September 22, 2007 I'm looking to test how much output im getting from each coil, because they all are firing. the vacuum lines seem to be decent, but I can double check them sooner then later. Quote
Andrew Posted September 22, 2007 Report Posted September 22, 2007 wait no o2 sensor? or MAF ??? Quote
