xtremerevolution Posted September 21, 2007 Report Posted September 21, 2007 If I were to sell it. Seriously. Specs are in the signature (sub and amps not included). I also have front racing seats, will have rear bucket seats from a cutlass. Front bumper cover needs to be replaced because of a dent. Car has 157,500 miles on it. Transmission rebuilt at 148,700. I might sell it if I can get a good price on it. Looking to buy another car... I'd really appreciate it if you guys could give me some reasonable/realistic estimates on how much I could sell it for. Q-Ball Posted September 21, 2007 Report Posted September 21, 2007 I think you would be lucky to get 1,500.00 for it. Do you have any offers? Quote
runt Posted September 21, 2007 Report Posted September 21, 2007 Why sell it after putting that much money into it? Quote
Psych0matt Posted September 21, 2007 Report Posted September 21, 2007 I think you would be lucky to get 1,500.00 for it. and racing seats in a regal? is grandma sliding out of the seats again? Quote
ns87 Posted September 21, 2007 Report Posted September 21, 2007 seriously, you just got the transmssion rebuilt. I'm sure that set you back at least 1000. Drive the damn car for a year or twpo Quote
MonteCarloDude Posted September 21, 2007 Report Posted September 21, 2007 i dont think i would pay about over $1000 for it, but thats just me, im not a big fan of the N/A 3800s in gen 1 W-bodys Quote

xtremerevolution Posted September 22, 2007 Author Report Posted September 22, 2007 $1000 to some kid I can't see a riced-out Buick being worth much I would be riced out if I had a 3' wing and a weak fiberglass body kit, along with underbody neon lights, and hell, why not add a Type-R sticker to that while we're at it. The z34 vents are functional, that wing hasn't been installed yet, the rims aren't cheap, the lowering job is professionally done (not just springs that were cut), the car handles quite well, and need I say more? That's not rice. I'm not going to sell it, but I was just wondering what it would be worth. I doubt I'll ever sell it. Quote
Q-Ball Posted September 22, 2007 Report Posted September 22, 2007 What does the under hood of your vents look like? Quote
Wen313 Posted September 22, 2007 Report Posted September 22, 2007 Have a friend that just bought a car similar to yours just a few weeks ago. She paid $1,200.00 but hers isn't souped up with racing seats or fancy rims.. I guess if those extra features were important to the right buyer, you may get alittle more than that out of it but it does have high milage... If I were you, I'd just keep driving it. If the cars good to you, why part with it? That's just my humble opinion. Quote
Garrett Powered Posted September 22, 2007 Report Posted September 22, 2007 I would say its worth a couple grand, but thats a lot of miles. I would give you like $1800 , no wait. I could get a TGP with 125k for that!!!! Quote

I'm a clean stock kinda guy. Quote

You guys are bashing the dudes car, and for what? Ok, so this is not your car nor it is mine. Hood vents, big vinyl, rice lights.. whatever. What is the vehicle worth? This is almost close to childs play. Vents, schm-vents! Who gives a crap? I don't think a buisness man is looking to buy a car like this, and of course it might be a teenager, no shit Sherlock! Is this everyones mentallity "Everyone's always wrong, but I'm always right!" Some times you just can't win. Next time, before you share your opinion. Look up the definition of the word! Quote
Psych0matt Posted September 22, 2007 Report Posted September 22, 2007 i dont understand what that had to do with much, but ok basically, at least from what i can gather, is that it's worth less than it would be without the modifications like hood vents, black wheels, etc. Quote
Euro Posted September 22, 2007 Report Posted September 22, 2007 Yeah if you were going to sell it I'd take out as much aftermarket stuff as you can, IMO the less mods the better as far as selling a car. Mods can sometimes bring down the value. I'd say 1000-1400 range. Quote

I see rice, but you're entitled to your own opinion. They might look like rice because they're black, but I'm planning on getting them painted silver soon enough, don't worry. So how about this impala: zooomg! Z34 Vents. RICE! The only difference is that he managed to fit them somewhere where they'll clear the strut tower bars, and he has the tools and knowledge to mount them flush with the hood. I'm a 21 year old college senior with a part time $12/hour job and 1 bedroom 2nd-floor apartment. If I had the time and resources to mount those vents the right way, I would, but for the time being, a dremel hold and some epoxy is the best I could do. Besides, the car is getting constantly modified and upgraded, and painting those vents silver is among the next top 5 things I plan on doing. Oh, and one more thing. This car has only seen one year of Chicago weather. Before that, it was garage kept in southern california I think that should say something for its resale value. Minus the vents, if you include all the work I've put into it, the car should be worth into $2500. I know I can get at LEAST that much if I part it out and put all the stock parts back in. Quote

I know I can get at LEAST that much if I part it out and put all the stock parts back in. if you mean you can get that much for the car itself, good luck. not saying its impossible, but its an older W with over 150k on it. I really dont mean to sound like I'm bashing you, but bottom line is that if it were my car, I wouldn't think it would be worth selling, because I wouldnt expect to get more than 1500-2000. Just my opinion. I dont think it's all that ricey, I'm just not a fan of racing seats and cuttin up a good hood for some neat accessories. That's just me and my taste, otherwise it's a pretty clean looking car, just not really worth all that much IMO Quote
