rockfangd
Hi everyone, so tonight i went to change out my passenger rear hub assembly and when i took the bearing out i learned that the bearing had been changed before. so i pulled the bearing out and to my surprise there was no ABS sensor on the bearing. Whoever changed the bearing before must have went cheap and got the bearing without the sensor. The wire plug was covered with electrical tape and stuffed in a hole . My question is why have i never gotten an ABS light for this and why when i try to pull codes does it not show any??? 1994 oldsmobile cutlass supreme UPDATE today i put the new ABS bearing in and now i have an ABS light on my dash after i drive about 2 miles but goes off when i restart the car, No light without the sensor, and now a light with the sensor, WTF
5speedz34
You can't pull ABS codes w/out a scanner that usually only the dealer is going to have. Is the bulb in your cluster?
rockfangd
yeah and it comes on fine when i turn the car on. and it did with my original cluster also, and i also work for a decent garage who has scanners and code readers
