GOT2B GM Posted September 18, 2007 Report Posted September 18, 2007 I was at the New Hamburg fall fair on Sunday and this caught my eye. Before: After 1st heat: I have a few vids on my cell phone that I have to upload. Vid entering arena: 1st heat entering arena 2nd heat 2nd heat Quote
ZoomZoomFan Posted September 18, 2007 Report Posted September 18, 2007 Well that's awesome. Usually FWDs are the first ones to die against the RWD boats. Quote
ManicMechanic Posted September 18, 2007 Report Posted September 18, 2007 1990-91....likely a 51 car too... Quote
Andrew Posted September 18, 2007 Report Posted September 18, 2007 ive always wanted to do that!!! Quote
rockfangd Posted September 18, 2007 Report Posted September 18, 2007 looks almost like a j-body now lol Quote
jeremy Posted September 18, 2007 Report Posted September 18, 2007 nice pics....any action shots? Quote
Brian P Posted September 18, 2007 Report Posted September 18, 2007 W-bodies ALWAYS kick ass at every demo derby I come across. The front stays together and that's all that counts. The rear could be falling out for all it cares. Quote
intern8tion9l Posted September 18, 2007 Report Posted September 18, 2007 Well that's awesome. Usually FWDs are the first ones to die against the RWD boats. no way, i've been in a few derbies, and rwd is ftl Quote
joey b Posted September 18, 2007 Report Posted September 18, 2007 most that I see don't last too long. They start to misfire and then won't start. Makes me think that the ICM doesn't care too much for all those collisions and gives out. Quote
w-bodys_are_the_best Posted September 18, 2007 Report Posted September 18, 2007 The ultra rare Cutlass Supreme hatchback When I went to the Dodge county fair last year in Kasson MN, there were 6 or 8 w's and they all did pretty good, too bad I didn't have my RAZR back then or I'd have pics. There were so many that they made a "midsize" class and it was almost exclusively W's with the exception of a few older late 80's fwd buicks. Quote
ns87 Posted September 18, 2007 Report Posted September 18, 2007 if my Supreme was ever in an accident....and was totaled out...that might be its future path lol Quote
Crazy K Posted September 19, 2007 Report Posted September 19, 2007 should I dispatch the rusty 95 that way???? Quote
Robby1870 Posted September 19, 2007 Report Posted September 19, 2007 In both accidents I've been involved in my car has shut off but refired just fine, so it's impressive that that car did so well. Anyone know why our cars shutoff during an accident? Does the ECM do it? Quote
GOT2B GM Posted September 19, 2007 Author Report Posted September 19, 2007 I'll get around to uploading the vids sometime... Quote
slick Posted September 19, 2007 Report Posted September 19, 2007 My GP shut off when it was totalled also, same with my Beretta. Maybe the jolt of the accident knocks it out of it's cycle? Quote
Nick1234 Posted September 19, 2007 Report Posted September 19, 2007 my lumina shut off when i rear ended someone. started up the next day and i drove her home. Quote
Addicted2bass Posted September 20, 2007 Report Posted September 20, 2007 A friend pf mine ran a 92 lumina sedan in a enduro this year. He did pretty good to. Last i knew it was a sitting at his house ready for another! I had pics on my old phone that wont charge anymore. Quite a few field cars me and my buddy have had would stall and not start cuz the fuel shut off switch got flipped. So if you got hit in the rear that may happen. Quote
mediabandit Posted September 21, 2007 Report Posted September 21, 2007 lol that was fuckin awesome. That looked like a blast. Quote
AWeb80 Posted September 21, 2007 Report Posted September 21, 2007 I posted about this last year http://www.w-body.com/forum/index.php/topic,49816.0.html Quote
