meltboy1 Posted September 13, 2007 Report Posted September 13, 2007 what exactly was so special about them? Quote
Rdrckt_92 Posted September 13, 2007 Report Posted September 13, 2007 nothing really, I believe it is just a dealer package Quote
Euro Posted September 13, 2007 Report Posted September 13, 2007 Which Special Editions are you talking about? The 94-96 or 2001's? Quote
Euro Posted September 13, 2007 Report Posted September 13, 2007 Oh, yeah it wasn't anything special. Just the sticker package, and either white 5 spokes or polished 5 spokes. Quote

meltboy1 Posted September 13, 2007 Author Report Posted September 13, 2007 Ya, I see that now, I checked that link, and there was nothing all too special... just a ploy to get people to buy it...lol Quote
Q-Ball Posted September 13, 2007 Report Posted September 13, 2007 Are you looking to buy? I have a nice 92 GP SE Quote
pwmin Posted September 13, 2007 Report Posted September 13, 2007 Nothing really was special about the SE. stay out of this thread...you have no idea what were talking about Quote
pwmin Posted September 14, 2007 Report Posted September 14, 2007 thats the "white package", not just the regular SPED "package". pretty cool find. i wish they wouldve kept the window sticker on the 96. it was a 1-owner before me bought at the same dealer. Quote

Stevo Posted September 14, 2007 Report Posted September 14, 2007 I don't understand how they can have a base model no frills car named SE and top model named ... SE. Quote
meltboy1 Posted September 14, 2007 Author Report Posted September 14, 2007 nah, I have no desire to buy, I have just always wondered what was "special" about it... that's all...lol Quote
pwmin Posted September 14, 2007 Report Posted September 14, 2007 SE does not equal Special Edition, just like LE does not mean limited edition Quote
mfewtrail Posted September 14, 2007 Report Posted September 14, 2007 SE does not equal Special Edition, just like LE does not mean limited edition Reading over the first page, I thought I was going to have to be the one to say that. While we're talking Special Editions, here's a window sticker from a 1995 Special Edition that shows what that package consists of... http://i44.photobucket.com/albums/f14/platjblser/IMG_1499a-1.jpg Quote

Gotcha. So B4U cars are the "Special edition" cars judging by matts picture? Didn't know that! Quote

joey b Posted September 14, 2007 Report Posted September 14, 2007 However, as a "package" deal it may have been cheaper to get the listed options as an SE than to get the items individually as an LE. Quote

It doesn't really matter. That window sticker matt put up mentioned the body moldings and whatnot under that package deal. Quote

Addicted2bass Posted September 20, 2007 Report Posted September 20, 2007 SE does not equal Special Edition, just like LE does not mean limited edition And the chevy custom deluxe pickups were neither custom nor deluxe. When my green gp got totaled the allstate sent me an Autosource Validation. It has all the things they took into consideration when they figured what my cat was worth. It also has the original sticker price, option packages, etc. for my exact car. Pretty cool i think. It also list all options and the cost even if my car didnt have them. According to this in 1996 the Special Edition consisted of: Specific stripes and decals, rear spoiler & white five spoke aluminum wheels. But obv the white rims were only on white cars. I have seen special edition cars with pretty much every kind of rim. Quote
Addicted2bass Posted September 20, 2007 Report Posted September 20, 2007 O and the special edition package cost $295. Quote
