whoa, thats cool!!!!

 

I like that idea about bending the metal contacts out of a bulb and using it as a tester. Im gonna remember that. :high5:

 

I would have just used a normal test light probe. oh well either one will work.

im sure I have a bulb around somewhere, so i'll try that either tonight or tomorrow

ok, did the bulb test, and I'm not getting injector pulse. I believe my two options are CPS or injectors. I might pick up a CPS anyways, just to get a new one. sound like that's my options?

sweet. drive it like you stole it!!!they are fun!!!

not with 2 year old gas :lol: now to get the tranny in! once i get everything back into being used to running, I'll get some fresh gas and see how bad the tranny really is. seemed alright, but it wasnt wanting to run too much past idle because of the old gas I assume

I hope you changed the oil before you started it.

 

nope, next on the to do list. checked the levels and stuff the other day though, good enough for a test startup

Well, considering it sat for 2 years, oil goes bad IMO after 3 months if its just sitting. I would change it ASAP.

yea, but level isn't the only thing that matters. oil deteriorates over time and gunks up and sticks to stuff. that's why they say every 3k miles OR every 3 months. I wouldn't run it again without changing it.

Thats like the #1 rule to starting an engine that hasnt been started in a LONG time... change all the fluid to fresh fluids!

And also, the 3k or 3month oil change is bs....

 

I drove the Jimmy 6k miles after I bought it before an oil change, and it was probably at least another thousand before I bought it. I like doing the car every time the DIS tells me about 25%, but right now it's at like 13%

I somewhat agree with that, but if a cars sitting I never use the old oil.

Yeah, I can see a car sitting outside in the sun and snow for a year w/o running is bad. On the other hand a car in a nice garage sheltered from the elements I would use the oil for awhile yet (assuming the oil isn't that used in it.)

if the PS fluid is not clear I would do that right away. same with PMIII.

thats badass right there. saturday when we went to pick my tgp up he popped the hood and i about popped wood when i saw it was converted from the PMIII to real brakes. one less thing to do.

i wish my car had the newer style ABS, but i doubt its worth all the hastle to convert. wiring wouldnt be that hard since plan on an obd2 swap, but adding the rear sensors might be a little more difficult.
