hell_raiser Posted September 12, 2007 Report Posted September 12, 2007 I'm looking at another cutlass supreme she is a 97 and it looks really good. the person who is selling it says she hit a pot hole and a bushing let go, now my question is, is there a bushing that could give the arse end so much play it rubs on something? Crazy K Posted September 12, 2007 Report Posted September 12, 2007 yes. you probably have a broken lateral link OR trailing arm. Inspect for Rust or major structural damage. If you are up to replacing either the broken part, OR the entire rear axle.... have at it! Quote
hell_raiser Posted September 12, 2007 Author Report Posted September 12, 2007 is a 97 with 180 km worth it? its a sedan and its a 3100 only 400 though Quote

rockfangd Posted September 21, 2007 Report Posted September 21, 2007 yeah chances are it is only a broken trailing arm Quote
Pontiac6KSTEAWD Posted September 22, 2007 Report Posted September 22, 2007 yeah chances are it is only a broken trailing arm And strut damage probly. Quote
hell_raiser Posted September 28, 2007 Author Report Posted September 28, 2007 actually its a lateral link bushing. i have a parts car so the only pita is that i have got to drop the tanks . i'm changing both links, trailing arm and strut. the thing runs mint looks mint needs an undercoating no holes and its console shift. 3100 cream interior. not bad eh lol bought from original owner! Crazy K Posted September 28, 2007 Report Posted September 28, 2007 I found it easier to drop the entire subframe off the rear rather than the tank. BTDT. Of course... I did struts and leaf spring too in the same shot. Quote
