mediabandit Posted September 11, 2007 Report Share Posted September 11, 2007 ok guys as you can see in my other thread... http://www.w-body.com/forum/index.php/topic,62911.0.html i am going to be doing the 5-speed swap and i was wondering if anyone on here had a really good write up about doing it, so that i do not miss anything. this is the 1st swap i will be doing and would love to have lots of info to go by before i even attempt it. so if anyone has a goos one please post it or you can email it to me if you like. i know a couple guys on here have done the 5-speed swap in the lumina Z34 before, so i wqould really like to get some info from them as well. thanks in advance. IMO it's pretty simple, bolt on stuff. The toughest part will be either modifying the firewall plate or R&R the firewall plate. I Wiring shouldn't be an issue either because you have a complete 3.4 DOHC 5 speed harness to use! Aslong as you have some knowledge of wrenching, you'll be fine! the most work I've ever done on a car before my little project was changing oil, so it doesn't take an expert to do it.
