GPdriver1986
I came back from doing a safety and emmisons test on my car. The car passed emissons very well, but they found out that the front defroster is not working properly. When I turn on my fan to the highest speed I hear it but the air that comes out is very minimal. They said that the A/C evaporator core might be plugged. How do I get to the evaporator core or should I buy a spray that cleans it out?
Slade901
Was the engine running when you tried to test the front defroster? On my 1990 Oldsmobile Cutlass Supreme, if I just turn the ignition to ON position and tried to select the different settings for the air but it barely blows out in either opening but most just at the bottom. If I run the car engine then the air blows in either settings I want. The air re-director does not work if the engine is not running. GPdriver1986
I fixed it, the evaporator was really dirty. I cleaned it and now it works great.
