rockfangd Posted September 5, 2007 Report Share Posted September 5, 2007 hi everyonei am working on a 97 gp se 3800 v6 and it has the standard DIC that has the picture of the car and it shows when the doors are open, says change oil, and a few other things, well when i was pulling the dash apart today trying to figure out an electrical issue i came across the provision for the actual DIC so i went and pulled one out of a 2000 GP 3800 and plugged it right into the 97s factory harness, the unit did not work, the only thing that did work was the traction control, Did i just pick up a bad unit or is a 2000 DIC not compatible with a 97. thanks to all. In the picture is what i purchased today. so basically the unit in the car now has a white plug but down inside the dash there was a black plug that the new unit plugged into but did not work Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
