red95cutlass
Ok guys, your opinion is needed... On my "wonderful" 95 cutty vert 3.4, I am getting a vaccuum leak. I really want to replace all of the vaccuum lines anyway. The question is...what would you use to replace all of the lines and make it look really clean and well done? Rubber? Stainless steel? I plan to keep the car so I consider it an investment/upgrade. Is there a better option than the HELP! brand plastic vaccuum parts at the local auto parts store? Throw me a bone here. Thanks guys. Psych0matt
i drove mine for like two years before realizing some vacuum lines were routed wrong. I just found some at the JY that I needed, and in one spot i had to connect a piece, and i just slid a small piece of thick rubber hose over the two ends that I needed to connect. I say find a JY car or two with good vac lines and get what you need
Dark Ride
I think if you want it to look nice and OEM I would go to the dealer and pickup a new vacuum harness.
red95cutlass
It doesn't have to look OEM, it just can't look like crap. What do custom engine builders use on their projects? Is there something other than rubber tube or the original plastic tubes?

I bought all new OEM GM vaccum lines for my 96' Lumina DOHC and they were real cheap and easy to put on, it'll probbaly look the neatest and the lines themselves last 10 or more years anyways.....I'd just buy new ones so you know they wont leak. 5speedz34
Yeah, I replaced a huge vacuum assembly on the '94. I think it was like $30 from the dealer and it covered 75% of all the vacuum lines on the car.
