boulevard
cool. i looked into doing an f-body muffler on my prix, but it looks like it would be too low. your car isnt lowered, is it? No, but I do have rear FFP coilovers and KYB GR-2 struts all around. I've had it like this for a year now. Only bottomed out once on a very very sloped driveway in the burbs. I'm dropping my car about 2.5" next weekend and Im getting nervous about bottoming out then. I do have a good about of clearance but it looks swallow. boulevard
the muffler appears to be blocking the jacking plate? I've never had to lift the car up in a year so I don't know. I'm sure it's ok though. That shop has a name they will not tarnish with some bull shit like that.
boulevard
yeah I was gonna say that set-up doesnt look very good at all for clearance I was thinking about removing the spare tire well at one point, but then my wife slapped some reality into me. Boy that was a stupid idea. I do not drive a nervous wreck. I never worry about bumping the muffler. It only hoped that once but it only scraped slighting, no damage to any of the parts. Andrew
rock on. thats the same brand i found on Ebay. i guess ill be comparing prices when the time comes. oh and a sound clip after install is a must!!
pwmin
just some other options: 4" round magnaflow muffer, dynomax glasspack (bidirectional, no cups, what i used on the 96), summit glasspack turned backwards (used on the 91)
19Cutlass94
Whats your purpose to the glasspacks?! I heard that were NOT good resonators.. unless your using them for sound?
pwmin
my 96 didnt have a resonator or anything and it was a little raspy at higher rpm's, but the glasspack quieted it down a little and got rid of all the rasp. ive never heard that they were bad resonators. if you run them normally, most of them have cups that can interrupt the exhaust flow. that is the only reason i can see to not use one. Bake82
Well it looks like Ill be getting that resonator today!!!!! OMG I cant wait to put it on!!! Quiet this freaking beast down! LOL Exhaust looks really good Jay! Can't wait to hear my beast run. right now it has 2.5 mandrel bent with 2 magnaflows, no cat, no resonator....I will be putting a Cat on as we need to pass emissions, but it should be interesting with how loud it will be!! Glad you like the exhaust. I think you should get a sound clip before and after!

You put the 3400 in there right?! With no cat and no resonator, not only will it be loud, but itll be raspy as hell! ( but I dont mine raspiness ) But got the resonator on, deff better! and still sounds badass!
Andrew
i just wanted to throw this out there. i just called my local exhaust shop, they said they will replace my resonator for $80 installed! so seeing as how this will save me moolah, im gonna go this route. 19Cutlass94
what type of resonator is it? Is it one of those cheap ones? But either way its not bad considering my resonator alone was almost $80... but how much would you really save?
slick
Yep, i used a glasspack as a resonator. I had it installed right after the cat., really helped a ton. Now the exhaust system is still surviving (with minor rewelds to cure some leaks) on Chris's (white93z34) vehicle. He loves it.
19Cutlass94
I was gonna put the resonator in right after the cat, but then I noticed i could put it in, in the stock location by the rear tire, so I put it there

Invasion1 said the setup is loud as hell, which I like, but I need the cat for emissions in my part of Ontario! I will have to get on a comp to hear your setup! Now you need that 3400 dropped in!
