yeah im not the best at explaining. it was in a crash and the lower arm was bent the tabs are still good. also would a loose bushing make a bang?

how many miles ago were the balljoints replaced, and did you replace them with good ones??? (good = ac delco or moog)

that could be strut mount, springs, joints or arms... it's really hard to say... jack it up and do a good visual inspection, and see if you have play where you shouldn't to try to narrow it down... I had a loud bang in my front, and it turned out I broke both my front springs.... that's what I get for taking a turn rated at 25 at 65 and spinning out...lol

Hey just for Kicks, Have the front of the car lifted or get it on a lift. Check the exhaust pipe at the point where the O2 sensor goes (before the cat) look way up there and see if the piping is still intact. I had the same problem. I had my suspension changed and all checked out ok. The problem continued until I got my exhaust upgraded and was told the bad news. The flange, or whatever broke, so that when I accelerated the engine would rock back mashing the piping on to it's self and causing the popping sound that seem to be come from the center of the dash but below it. you wouldn't hear it much on the outside as you do while driving it. Hope this helps!
