gmrulz4u Posted August 23, 2007 Report Posted August 23, 2007 I ordered the original 1989 Brochure/Catalogue from eBay that covers the entire Cutlass range from that year and it says that the tire size on the 89 Supreme International is P215/65R/16 when I always that they were P215/60R/16 ?? So were they 60 or 65 from the factory? Quote
Brian P Posted August 23, 2007 Report Posted August 23, 2007 probably a misprint, since the '88 International had 215/65/15 Quote
Olds88Cutlass Posted August 23, 2007 Report Posted August 23, 2007 both of my brochures say 215/60/16. which brochure do you have? Quote

Olds88Cutlass Posted August 24, 2007 Report Posted August 24, 2007 thats one of the brochures i have. i also have the 1989 oldsmobile price book. those are really cool because they show what options were on different olds models and how much they were. was the 3.1 introduced later in 1989? the brochure does not list the 3.1 anywhere. in 1989 the price book lists automatic 3.1 manual 2.8, but i have seen base cars with 2.8 autos. ManicMechanic Posted August 24, 2007 Report Posted August 24, 2007 Mid year, yes, it was changed to the 3.1... Quote
intern8tion9l Posted August 25, 2007 Report Posted August 25, 2007 i had 215/60/R16 on my car. as far as i can remember, the sticker on the car said to use that size Quote
Stevo Posted August 26, 2007 Report Posted August 26, 2007 The regular 'Crosslace' wheels were 15's .... if they were 'International' rims then they would be 16's. Some internationals oddly came with 16" Sawblade rims (92'-93') Quote

Some internationals oddly came with 16" Sawblade rims (92'-93') So it's probably a misprint, since '88 intl's had the 15's, and they changed the brochure for the '89 model year to reflect the 16" addition.
