digitaloutsider
Search. This has been discussed numerous times. You need a higher rate fuel pump, the heads-and-up from the engine, PCM and do some wiring.

xtremerevolution
ok thanks You have a 1st gen Regal coupe? Me too. Bolting on a supercharger is a lot harder with the L27. I wouldn't suggest it. You'd be much better off swapping a Series 1 L67 (it would actually be cheaper), or even swapping a Series 2 L67. If I were you, I wouldn't mess with that engine much. Just about the only thing you can do is rocker arms, which should be $400 a set. Expect about 15-20hp gains from that. Send me a private message if you want to know what to expect from this engine and I'll tell you what I've done with mine. Have you done any suspension mods yet? The regal is very soft. I'd suggest you start there, but be ready to spend a good $450 + labor for springs alone.
acq
heres my situation i spent my hole day to day walking around junk yards mostly cuz i was bored and i came acroos a 97 or 98 gtp with the motor all in it and the people at the desk said they would sell me the motor wiring harness and pcm for $700 which is a good deal (i think) but iam feeling rather lazy and i didnt want to do a complete motor swap but if it will be easier ill prloy just do that will my 4t60 e tranny fit on an l67 or will i need the tranny from the gtp too? Psych0matt
Ok, first of all, use some punctuation. Secondly, It might be easier to grab the tranny too, but you could probably use the same one you have.

GP1138
If you're lazy, you would probably be better off doing a total engine swap than trying to fab something on that doesn't belong. It just seems to be more work that way, even with the cherrypicker and all.

Even the 4T65E-HD is thought to be too weak for the L67's torque output (at least from a lot of guys from regalgs.org). Somehow I don't think that's going to work very well. He'll need a 4T65E-HD tranny with the HD axles. I'm not sure if the differential is the same, but with that much power up North you'll probably need a limited slip differential anyway. I did a lot of research trying to figure out if you could bolt on an Eaton M62 supercharger to an L27 to make it an S1 L67, and I found out in the end that the two engines are very different. You'd need to change a LOT to get that supercharger on there. You would be MUCH better off swapping an L67 in there.
Psych0matt
there you have it, grab the tranny too I wasnt sure which trans came with the regals back then, thats kinda why I left it open i have a loophole to escape!
Andrew
yes definitely get the HD trans too. your trans wouldnt like that extra 70hp, 60 ft/lbs of torque for very long!! and if you are feeling ambitous, put some lower gears in it while its out to improve your accel and 1/4 times, though mpg will suffer. pwmin
you can build the 60 as strong as the 65 pretty much, but it would be easier just to get both attached and do the swap that way and not have to worry about building your trans either

I'll be doing the swap myself some time soon, just about when I can find someone to do it for me in the Chicago area.
