10centshine
My 3.4 is reading low oil pressure on the guage, otherwise seems to be running fine. This was a junk yard motor. It has a new timing belt, plugs, water pump, and I also replaced the fuel pump in the wheel well. Could the oil pump be weak? Pressure is reading low enough to cause the "check guages" light to come on when idling. ??????
Psych0matt
are you low on oil? have you fixed the o ring? maybe your o ring is leaking bad enough to cause a loss of pressure
10centshine
I checked the oil level and it is down maybe 1/16 in from completely full. I think it was all the way full before but am not completely sure. Anyway, if it's leaking, it's very slight. What O-ring are you referring to? Psych0matt
theres an o ring on the top of the block, under the corner of one of the heads, that is notorious for leaking on the 3.4. does the engine seem to leak oil a noticeable amount?
