pwmin
the coolant hose on my 3.4 that runs from the wp back around the "back" of the engine (by the firewall) needs to be replaced. anyone know if i can get a new one or if i will have to take it off and take it to a hose shop to have it fixed? also, do i need to drop the subframe or anything to get the line/hose out? White93z34
i usually just cut the rusted part and replace it with 5/8s heater hose however i do believe that GM still has it available
pwmin
the problem is the rubber part was cut below the wp and i had to put a brass elbow and 2" threaded pipe on it and now the rubber thats left is starting to crack. kinda hard to explain. i guess i could just cut the metal somewhere and put a hose on, maybe find one with a formed 90-degree bend. we dont have rust problems here. now, it is the pressure hose, right? i found the pn in one of the faq theads and the pressure hose jives on gm partsdirect (for $100) but not the return hose. pwmin
thx for the help. i ended up just cutting the tube and getting a 3/4" formed 90* heater hose and it worked out great.
