MonteCarloChick Posted August 7, 2007 Report Posted August 7, 2007 Ok, so I just had all 4 struts and mounts put onto my car. Great. When I go to drive it back home I notice a sort of simmering bacon sound coming from my car as I drive. The simmering sound is rhythmic to the motion of my tires rotating as I drive. I don't hear it above 45mph. If I didn't have my Flowmaster on, it would be deafening. And it's quite embarrassing sounding. I really don't know how else to explain the sound better, so I hope that's adequate. Also, I just got back from my alignment appointment and the told me I needed a new front tie rod. So I'm back home because I didn't have enough money for both. So I'm going back later for the alignment. Could the fucked alignment be making a sound? I don't know. I'm sick of working on this stupid car. Help Quote
MonteCarloChick Posted August 7, 2007 Author Report Posted August 7, 2007 But I had an alignment problem before I got the strut assy's done and it didn't make a sound. Did they cause the sound? Quote
BXX Posted August 7, 2007 Report Posted August 7, 2007 Anytime you do suspension work, your alignment gets farther off.. Don't feel bad, my Cutty makes the same noise up front, but since I had my exhaust done, I can't hear it Quote
