IRONDOG442 Posted September 27, 2007 Report Posted September 27, 2007 lets see here.... finding the parts was the first challenge what i can remember.... about $600 between 2 284s and mostly complete swap setups, with a brand new clutch thrown in. $285 for a new slave cyl $20 for a bracket $15 for front engine mount bracket $25 in syncromesh $30 for new axle seals $25 for a shifter, boot, etc, and 2 perfect shift cables so whatever that is plus what i have forgotten, so yeah too much. $1,000 according to that !! Euro Posted September 27, 2007 Report Posted September 27, 2007 Yep, I got to drive it also. The 3.4 behind a 5 speed is much different than behind an auto. BTW, damn the Lumina seats for not being able to go up all the way. My short ass legs could barely press the clutch pedal enough! !!!! Quote

AHAHHAHA! you aren't the only one, i kinda have to try to push the clutch all the way in. Quote
stockgp Posted September 28, 2007 Report Posted September 28, 2007 i'm only five feet eight and a half inches tall and i don't have any problem with the clutch, even with the seat all the way back Quote
White93z34 Posted September 28, 2007 Author Report Posted September 28, 2007 i've tried pushing the seat further back, and while i can still clutch fine, it hurts my back from reaching forward to shift after awhile Quote
5speedz34 Posted September 28, 2007 Report Posted September 28, 2007 Wait, whats wrong with your seat? Quote
GP1138 Posted September 28, 2007 Report Posted September 28, 2007 I wonder what it'd be like with my Cutlass leather. Quote
88Regal Limited Posted September 28, 2007 Report Posted September 28, 2007 I must say, took a ride with Chris last night and man, the 3.4 has balls now, it just pulls great for what it is! Also it looks factory, which that's pretty kick ass. Great job Chris! Quote
White93z34 Posted September 28, 2007 Author Report Posted September 28, 2007 Wait, whats wrong with your seat? nothing as far as i can tell, just with the manual i have to have the seat more forward now so i can shift gears easier and fully depress the clutch. Quote
slick Posted October 1, 2007 Report Posted October 1, 2007 i'm only five feet eight and a half inches tall and i don't have any problem with the clutch, even with the seat all the way back Definately not saying the clutch was hard to push in, it was more of the struggle reaching the pedal. Quote
