Clunk when making sharp/ u turns

I have a clunk in my front end on the driver side. It has brand new ball joint and tie rod. It usually happens then I make a U turn and when I put the car into gear you can hear a slight pop. Also on take off you can hear a clunk/popping sound.

Any ideas?

I fucking hate strut mounts. I have to take my car in this week to get them replaced. Stupidest thing to change on a car ever.

They're not all that hard to change yourself, but I could understand taking them in.

Hmm...my Lumina had the clunking sound when turning as well, it was the balljoints. However, the strut mounts went bad on it as well. But the rears went bad on my Lumina so not sure if the strut mounts would clunk when turning.

balljoints were gonna be my first thought too, but since they are newer i figured they are ok. waaaaaaaiiiitttttt!!

what KIND of balljoints did you use?? they may have gone bad already if you got the cheapies. MOOG, AC Delco or dont bother IMO.
