alright so i have the LQ1 engine i just had the water pump replaced and my engine still seems to be getting hot but not overheating?

i have the UB3 cluster in my car i dunno if this is where the guage should be sitting at normal operating temp or if it is getting hot?

anyone with a UB3 is this where the temp should be sitting or is my engine running hot?

how's your radiator cap? do you have a lot of debris caught in your radiator? are your fans turning on?

I'm thinking along the same line as Paul. If the temp gauge is that high, the fans should be running. If you need more help with fans, try a search on the techniques people have used to diagnose those issues. Is the hose running from the radiator to the vicinity of the t-stat hot to the touch? If it is, the T-stat is open like it should be at that temp.
