ManicMechanic Posted July 22, 2007 Report Posted July 22, 2007 Did you change the thermostat and bleed the cooling system? Quote

per0781 Posted July 23, 2007 Report Posted July 23, 2007 how's your radiator cap? do you have a lot of debris caught in your radiator? are your fans turning on? Quote
SigEpCutlass Posted July 23, 2007 Report Posted July 23, 2007 how's your radiator cap? do you have a lot of debris caught in your radiator? are your fans turning on? I'm thinking along the same line as Paul. If the temp gauge is that high, the fans should be running. If you need more help with fans, try a search on the techniques people have used to diagnose those issues. Is the hose running from the radiator to the vicinity of the t-stat hot to the touch? If it is, the T-stat is open like it should be at that temp. Quote
synistershadows Posted July 23, 2007 Author Report Posted July 23, 2007 i just replaced the cap cuz thats what i thought the prob was but it wasnt so its a new cap an im not sure i havent checked that hose and as for the fans i can hear them running when the cars turned on but soon as i shut her down they turn off as well Quote
Hairdo12 Posted July 23, 2007 Report Posted July 23, 2007 My UB3 reads 7 bars when the engine is fully warm. Is your upper radiator hose red hot and the lower one cold? Quote
synistershadows Posted July 23, 2007 Author Report Posted July 23, 2007 i dunno ? i havent checked wheres the lower one? Quote
GP1138 Posted July 23, 2007 Report Posted July 23, 2007 i dunno ? i havent checked wheres the lower one? On the opposite side of the radiator at the bottom. Quote
